Our puppies are lovingly hand raised here at Weatherby Goldens. Our job is to make sure that the whelping mother is comfortable and as stress free as possible and to intervene only when necessary. I or my husband will be with her until the very last puppy is born. During the first 2 weeks the puppies have little contact with anyone except for myself, my husband, their mother and their litter mates. This is a very important time for the little ones to allow their immune system to mature and limit the amount of stress.
After the first couple of weeks and if all are happy and healthy, they will be lovingly handled by us. As the puppied move to the weaning stage, we will be introducing them to potty training and continue the handling so by the time they are ready for their new home they will be accustomed to the sounds, smells and commotion of a household. They will also be use to being around other dogs besides their parents and cats as well.
All of our puppies are dewormed, have their first set of shots, microchiped provided and their AKC registration papers.
When you receive your Weatherby Golden puppy it will be a beautiful, healthy, well socialized ball of joy ready to be an active member of the family.
